Best soul gig i've been to: Joss Stone

She's only 23yo, but she owned it.

Yesterday at Shepherd's Bush Empire i was really looking forward to see Joss Stone perform, but, honestly, didn't know what to expect.

I knew she has a great voice (and, boy, she does! there was almost no effects on her mic!). I remember when everybody was talking about her: she was 17 and her single Fell in love with a boy was stuck in my head.

Other then that, I went to my favorite music venue in London thinking that it was going too be a good music night, but i was ready for a commercial version of soul music.

Glad to say: I was sooooo wrong!

Joss Stone and her band are simply amazing!
From soul to reggae they drag you in the loop and you can do nothing but move, dance, shake and smile. They are happy on stage and so are you!

Joss even talked on the phone to a fan's friend. "Hey, hi Sophie, I'm a bit busy right now...". Sweet.

My opinion doesn't count much... but hey, this gig gets ***** out of 5! :)

last saturday i ended up @ the 93 feet east by accident and it also happened that the neurotic mass movement were playing... lucky me. they were good. very good. :)
